FAQ part 2

If we can not find your email address or password in our database, this usually means that you have made a spelling mistake, or used the wrong email address. Check the spelling and make sure that you have entered the email address that you used when you applied for your password. It is easiest to "copy" (mark and press Ctr+C) and "paste" (mark and press Ctr+V) your password and email address from the confirmation email that you have received from us. Check "Remember", and you will be logged in automatically on your future visits, without filling in your email address and password again.
If your browser does not accept "cookies", you can not log in.

To enable "cookies":

-with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x:

Select the "View" pulldown menu
Select "Internet Options"
Click the "Advanced" tab
Scroll down the list of options to "Security" (marked with a padlock symbol). Beneath, you'll see three options for "Cookies". Select either "Prompt before accepting cookies" or "Accept all cookies".
Click "OK"

-with Netscape Communicator/ Navigator 4.x:

Select the "Edit" pulldown menu.
Click "Advanced"-the word itself, not the "+" next to it.
Select either "Accept all cookies" or "Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server". "Warn me" may be checked or unchecked.
Click "OK"

-with Netscape Navigator 3.x:
Navigator 3.x does not have a way to disable cookies, so you should be able to log in regardless of your settings. However, you may be shown a cookie alert each time you log in. To get rid of the alert, you can follow the instructions below.

Select the "Options" pulldown menu.
Select "Network Preferences"
Click the "Protocols" tab.
Under the "Show an Alert Before" section, uncheck "Accepting a Cookie".
Select "OK"

-with Opera (most versions):

Select the "Preferences" pulldown menu.
Select "Advanced"
Under the "Logging" section, check "Cookie Logging".
Click "OK"

2.3. I want to place an advertisement, but I have lost my password. What do I do?

Apply for your password once more. You will receive it immediately.

2.4. I want to place more advertisements than the maximum that I now have clearance for. What do I do?

For an extra "for sale" ad go here, for an extra "wanted" ad, go here, for bulk advertising, go to the bus dealers page and choose the advertisement package that you need. Then follow the instructions on how to order.

When ordering, make sure that you use the same email address as the one that you use to log into Used Buses Net in combination with your password.

After payment, the extra advertising spaces that you have ordered will be added to your account automatically.

2.5. I have placed an advertisement, but I have made a mistake. What do I do?

Go to the page "Place ads" ("Place/change/delete advertisements").

To correct a mistake in the text of the advertisement, choose "Change existing advertisement" and choose the advertisement with the mistake in the pulldown menu and press "Choose". Then change the details of the advertisement on your screen and press "Change".

To change the photo in the advertisement, choose "Delete existing advertisement" and choose the advertisement that you wish to delete in the pulldown menu and press "Choose". Then check that your screen shows the advertisement that you want to delete and press "Delete". Then place a new advertisement.

2.6. I have placed an advertisement, and want to delete it. What do I do?

Go to the page "Place ads" ("Place/change/delete advertisements").

Choose "Delete existing advertisement" and choose the advertisement that you wish to delete in the pulldown menu and press "Choose".

Then check that your screen shows the advertisement that you want to delete and press "Delete".

2.7. Can you place my advertisements for me?

The prices at Used Buses Net are based on self-service. If you wish us to handle the placement of your advertisements, contact us for a price quote.

Placing your advertisements with Used Buses Net yourself, is probably simpler, though.

To place ads:

First, if you have not done so already, order a "for sale" ad, a "wanted" ad, or bulk advertising.
Next, if you have not done so already, log in, and go to "Place ads" in the main menu.
Choose "Place new advertisement" and click on "Choose".
On the page "Place new advertisement", fill in the details of your advertisement with the help of the explanations provided on that page and press "Add".
