4.1. I have asked for a password, but I have not received it. Why?

We sent you an email with your password immediately after receiving your password request. If you have not received your password after an hour, check the spelling of your email address.

Check that you, for instance, have not forgotten the top level domain. (not: address@provider but: address@provider.com).

In case of a CompuServe address, use a dot instead of a comma (not: 123,321@compuserve.com but: 123.321@compuserve.com).

4.2. My personal data in your database are not correct because the data have changed or because I have made a mistake while entering data. What do I do?

You can not change your personal data once entered. Send us an email stating:

• your email address (the email address with which you have registered your password!);
• your password;
• the desired changes.

The implementation of the desired changes may take several working days. We will let you know when it is done.

4.3. According to my browser, you keep sending me cookies. Why?

We use cookies to implement user sessions. If your browser does not accept cookies, you can not use various features, such as placing advertisements or AdAlerts.

By the way, our cookies will only be stored on your hard disk if you have ordered your computer to remember your password when you first logged in. Otherwise they will not.

4.4. What about my privacy?

Boerefijn Publishing has firm privacy rules. Boerefijn Publishing:
a - uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our web site only;
b - will not make available to others any IP addresses nor the personal data and email addresses registered by password holders, unless obliged to do so by law;
c - does not collect data from cookies. Only when you check "Remember" in the Login screen, a cookie is placed on your hard disk for your convenience;
d - has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control, consisting of a password-protected web server.

Please do be aware of the fact that your contact data are published with your advertisements to make sure that potential customers can reach you. It is possible that third parties collect for instance email addresses from our web site, and send you "spam", unsolicited email. There is nothing that we can do about that. If you receive any, it is best to just delete spam, and not react to it. A reaction makes the spammer aware that your email address is active, and may lead to more spam.

4.5. A JavaScript Alert tells me to fill in a field that I have filled in already. What is wrong?

This problem seems to occur only with certain versions of Internet Explorer, using Windows 3.1. Apparently those Internet Explorer versions use a different version of JavaScript, or even contain a bug.

The only workaround known to us is to disable JavaScript temporarily (and than check yourself that all fields are filled in).
